Is ListLedger really free?
Yes. The app is free to download and the entire core experience - shared lists, sync, barcode scanning, budgets, recurring items, price history (last 2 entries) - is free. There’s one optional £2.99 unlock if you want to host a household or see the full price history. No subscriptions. Ever.
Do I need to create an account?
No. ListLedger doesn’t have accounts. To share a list with someone, one person creates a household and shares a 4-character code or QR code. The other person joins with that code. That’s it - no email, no password, no profile.
Does it work offline?
Yes, fully. Your shopping list lives in a local database on your phone. You can add items, tick them off, set budgets, and scan barcodes without any internet connection. When you’re back online, household sync catches up automatically.
Is my data sold to anyone?
No, never. ListLedger has no advertising SDKs, no analytics trackers, no location tracking, and no third-party data sharing beyond the services needed to make the app work (product lookup, household sync). See the Privacy Policy for every detail.
What phones does it work on?
Both iOS and Android. Download from the App Store or Google Play. Household sync works across both platforms - one person can host on iPhone and another join from Android, no problem.
What if my partner doesn’t pay for Pro?
They don’t need to. Only the person creating the household needs Pro. Partners, flatmates and family can join using a code from the Pro user and edit the shared list for free, forever.
Can I get a refund for Pro?
Pro purchases are handled by your app store - Apple on iOS, Google Play on Android. Request a refund through whichever store you bought it from, within their published refund window. If there’s a genuine technical problem, email [email protected] and we’ll help.
